What is A Soulmate? Soulmate Connections & Soul pods

A soulmate is a person who is believed to be a perfect spiritual match for an individual. The concept of soulmates is often associated with romantic relationships, but can also refer to close friendships or other deep connections.

According to some beliefs, soulmates are two people who have been destined to meet and be together, either in this lifetime, or in a past or future life. Soulmates have a deep, unspoken understanding of each other and a strong spiritual connection that transcends time and space, due to the fact that they have lived multiple lives together, usually in various forms of relationship.

When you meet a soulmate, it feels as if you have always known them. The soulmate relationship often feels nourishing and full of synchronicity. However sometimes the universe will bring your greatest challenges in the hands of a soulmate, because soulmates have the deeper understanding and compassion to help you through. In these cases, your soulmate will always be supportive towards you and not directly part of the problem.

Unlike twin flames, who are a single soul that has been twinned, doubled, or split between two bodies, a soul mate is a truly unique soul with its own lessons. What that person is learning in this life may be similar to your lessons, but they are clearly on their own track. While twin flame relationships may be fraught with longing, confusion, and deep healing, soulmate relationships most often feel deeply loving, stable, and touched with kindness.

Some people believe that meeting your soulmate is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, while others believe that it is possible to have multiple soulmates throughout your lifetime. I personally believe that we can have many soulmates, and the chemistry of your relationship will be distinctly different with each one. You may meet and marry a soulmate, and yet there could still be another soulmate with a different frequency and connection that comes into your life. Ultimately when it's truly a soulmate situation, there's no drama about that. If you are married and meet another soulmate, then that soulmate will likely opt for friendship rather than causing drama in your life.

I have had several clients who married and then met or took on a lover they thought was their soulmate. I tend to believe that if the relationship is full of drama, it's less likely a soulmate and more likely a twin flame or a learning experience. If it IS a soulmate, then there will usually be a clear and natural solution to any drama--because true soulmate relationships don't produce drama, they produce solutions and open, easy pathways forward.

True soulmate relationships don't produce drama, they produce solutions.

The most powerful lesson I've learned about soulmates is that they are truly our mates. They don't mean us harm, and they don't want to create drama. Even complicated soulmate relationships have deep love at the core. A soulmate will always want what's best for you, unlike other karmic multi-life relationships that may have other lessons at the core.

HONORING YOUR SOUL POD

A soul pod is a group of souls who are believed to have a close spiritual connection and to have agreed to incarnate together in order to support each other's growth and evolution. The concept of a soul pod is similar to that of a soulmate, but it refers to a group of people rather than a single individual. Personally, I LOVE the soul pod concept and see my life this way. Many of the people closest to me, including many friends, family, clients, and students, are all a part of a soul pod that's been going for many lifetimes. We are empowered to grow and deepen our life experiences because of the lovingkindness that comes from our soul pod.

According to some beliefs, a soul pod can consist of anywhere from a few to several dozen souls. These souls may have known each other for many lifetimes and may have made a conscious decision to incarnate together in order to help and support each other on their spiritual journeys.

It is thought that being part of a soul pod can provide a deep sense of connection and belonging, and can offer opportunities for growth and learning. Some people believe that their soul pod may include family members, close friends, or even pets. Others may have a more general sense of being part of a larger group of souls who are working together towards a common goal.

SOULMATE MEDITATION: An Exercise to Identify Your Soul Pod

Here's a soulmate meditation you can do on your own! If you are interested in exploring the concept of a soul pod and identifying the members of your own soul pod, here's an exercise you can try.

  1. Find a quiet and comfortable place where you can sit or lie down and relax.

  2. Take a few deep breaths and allow yourself to let go of any distractions or concerns. Focus on your breath and allow yourself to sink into a state of relaxation and stillness.

  3. Imagine that you are floating in a vast and beautiful ocean. The ocean is filled with light and love, and you feel completely safe and at peace.

  4. As you float in the ocean, imagine that you are surrounded by your soul pod. These are the souls who are closest to you and who have agreed to support you on your spiritual journey.

  5. Imagine that each member of your soul pod is connected to you by a golden thread of light. These threads of light represent the deep and unbreakable connection that you share with your soul pod.

  6. Take some time to connect with each member of your soul pod. Imagine that you can sense their presence and their love for you. Notice any thoughts, feelings, or impressions that you have about each member of your soul pod.

  7. Some soulmates in your pod may be people you haven't yet met. Don't be surprised by strangers floating in the water with you. On the other hand, if you have trouble seeing details of people, simply say, "I ask for the veil to be removed," and then focus in on one detail, to get better clarity. You may recognize many friends and loved ones with you.

  8. When you feel ready, thank your soul pod for their presence and their support. Imagine that you are surrounded by their love and light, and that you are connected to them in a deep and profound way.

  9. When you feel ready, open your eyes and take a few moments to journal or reflect on your experience. Write down any thoughts, feelings, or impressions that you had during the exercise, and consider how you might be able to connect with your soul pod in your everyday life.

Remember that this is just one way to explore the concept of a soul pod, and your experiences may be different from someone else's. Be open minded and trust the feelings and energy of your experience, even if you don't "see" anything.
