What is Reiki?
REIKI is a Japanese word most often translated as “universal life force energy.” It’s an energy inherent in all things—flowing through us, connecting us to nature, and reminding us of our interconnectedness. When we tap into this energy through the laying on of hands or meditation, we experience profound stress relief, healing, and a deeper understanding of who we are called to be.
What Does Reiki Feel Like?
Many describe Reiki as a soothing warmth or gentle tingling, while others notice a sense of calm and clarity. When you key into this energy through laying on of hands, or through meditation, your stress levels drop and you remember more of who you are called to be. It’s as if your body remembers how to relax completely, aligning you with your natural rhythms. It’s non-invasive, deeply restorative, and feels... well, amazing!
Non-Religious, Accessible to Everyone
One of the most beautiful aspects of Reiki is that it’s non-religious. You don’t have to hold any particular spiritual belief for it to work. Reiki functions because of the science of energy.
When I teach classes, many students are often surprised that they can actually fhe energy of Reiki. "My hands are so hot! I am I really doing this?" They ask.
“Of course!” I say. “That’s what you’re here to learn, so here it is!”
