Today we celebrate the autumn equinox, the official start of the fall season. This is the time of year when the length of day and night come into perfect balance. It’s a fantastic time for reflection on everything you would like to appreciate and celebrate in your life.
The Fall Equinox is also the tipping point into the darker seasons of the year. To prepare for that deeper introspection and hibernation, we gather our warm sweaters, hot steaming cups of tea, and loved ones close. Enjoy the last sparks of late summer heat and welcome the rain to clear any stagnant or frustrated energies of summer.
In earth-based traditions, this tipping point is the original Thanksgiving. It is a time to rest and allow all of the best parts of the year to soak into you and nourish your bones. Even in the most challenging years, there are blessings. Connect with those blessings. Connect with those you love and adore. Connect within.
Break bread together, make pies from your harvest (physical and spiritual), and deeply breathe in the shift of the season... Can you feel it?
Blessed Equinox! Dailey
