This weekend's NEW MOON in LEO is at 6:49 AM PDT on SUNDAY AUGUST 8, 2021. It brings a bold day for setting intentions as we head into the late summer season. The energy of Leo is playful, but can also be fierce and attention-seeking. You might ask yourself what your creative, inner Leo's heart needs to be truly comfortable and content at this time. Here in Northern California we are in the fire season, and the next few weeks mark an opportunity to make right relationship with fire. To remember it's positive and life-giving sides. The 8:8 gateway reconnects us with the eternal cycle of learning and growing in a way that is positive--especially if your spiritual focus can remain of pacifying the inner-lion within, and transmuting any anger or dissatisfaction you have to direct action. If you've been stressed, make time to play, and give your inner taskmaster the day off. Whatever you dream, you can do. Put your crown on, and wrangle the energy of the Leo moon for a transformative and healing August.
Light three yellow chime candles (or tea lights), one each for body, mind, and spirit. As you watch them burn, reflect on how body, mind, and spirit work together. Stretch like a lion, and then begin to walk a simple figure 8, or infinity pattern. In this walking meditation, see your mind, body, and spirit as woven together. How can your mind better support your body? How can your body better support your spirit? How can your spirit better support your mind?
Reflecting on the things you do, feel, and think, note during your walking meditation where your inner support can be stronger.
Envision the next few weeks unfolding, as you walk. Re-align any thoughts or plans that don't serve your intentions.
When you are full of inspiration, return to your candles, and share your wishes for the next few weeks, over the burning flame.
SAY: "With this intention in my mind, body, and spirit, and for the highest good of all, I go forth. Let the magic begin."
Then blow out the candles, effectively blowing the energy into the astral plane. Alternately you can pinch them out with your fingers, and anytime you need to focus on tasks over the next few weeks, relight your candles. Remember, always practice fire safety, and once you're done, give thanks to the candles for supporting your prayers and intentions.
