My welcome comes a little late this month. July has been rolling in like a tide, with soft gray mornings, bursts of cool sunshine, and occasional golden-hour sunsets. It’s felt more like a long, thoughtful spring than summer in full swing. Maybe you’ve felt that too.

Words of kindness and reflection for Reiki practitioners in July 😊

It’s been a season of big change over here! I moved into a new home. My son graduated high school. It seems like just yesterday I was carrying a baby on my hip and now I am moving into yet another phase of life.

I've been constantly in motion, but in the quieter moments I’ve found myself returning to the small, steady things that raise my energy and help my nervous system settle:

Walking barefoot in the garden
Tending my house plants
Visiting the ocean
Breathing as I lean into my home yoga practice
...and saying “yes” only when I mean it.

Reiki: A Living Practice

Reiki is a living practice that's meant to flow right along with you through life's changes, when your heart feels a little tender, or when you're not quite sure what’s next.

It’s in those moments that you have to choose, again and again, to step out of the blind hustle and come back into connection with your body, your spirit, and the earth beneath you. That’s the real work. The real magic.

We’re halfway through the year.

It’s a good time to check in and revisit your goals and dreams. If your heart energy gets scattered or shut down, it’s harder to hear your intuition. To fix that, place your feet flat on the ground, breathe, and welcome life force to wash through you.

Train your body to absorb natural healing energy from the earth and sky around you, and to be more soft and open to simple joys.

If you’re needing something to ground into as we round out July, try:

Warm peaches from off of the tree.

Ocean air.

River walks.

Sun tea!

Quiet mornings. (can you wake up without the alarm?)

And laughter.
