I often have students who ask me how to channel. Channeling is when you open up your inner wisdom to hear messages from the world around you. A Channel may hear angels, deceased loved ones, messages from animals or plants, aliens, or any other number of sources. Most people naturally channel during the day without realizing it. If you’ve ever had a gut instinct to call a family member only to find out they were going through something tough, you were channeling a message. If you’ve ever felt the mood of your lover from far away, you were definitely picking up energy or messages through a channel.
There are a lot of other phrases in the healing world that go with Channeling. Channels are also often Empathic (feeling the people or world around you as part of your own body, or experience). Channels can also be very Psychic (having strong mental capabilities to see, hear, sense, taste, or know things without physical cause). Channeling can also be broken down into sub-categories: trance-channeling, mediumship, and more.
The gift of channeling is that you come to trust your relationship with the world around you in a unique way, as you realize that the world is innately loving.
In my healing school, I rarely teach channeling. Why?! Because I can teach Reiki 1 Training as the perfect starting point for beginning to understand the Unseen. As people become strong in the Reiki skills, their channel *naturally opens. We are then able to teach basic channeling methods in Reiki 2 Training.
