Reiki and Flower Essences

One of the things I love about Reiki is that it goes well with just about every healing modality I've ever come across.  I often pair Reiki with the use of Flower Essences.

What are flower essences?

In the 1930s, Edward Bach experimented with the healing properties of water that has been infused with the essence of plant matter. Rather than looking at chemical constituents, Bach was interested in the vibrational qualities of these waters, and the ability of water to hold structural memory of the plants, which then influences the user of the water. While clinical trials have not been able to prove that flower essences work beyond a placebo effect, these water-based elixirs have been around for thousands of years, and people continue to find their own value in them.

How do you use Flower Essences with Reiki?

While Reiki is a stand-alone modality for healing and self-reflection, doing Reiki can often open up our awareness to our inner world. After a Reiki self-healing you may find yourself making changes in your waking life to support your inner realizations. Because flower essences are geared to work on a high vibrational plane, they can help bring the deep healing of your Reiki session down into your physical world.

My favorite Flower essences are made by Alaskan Essences and I often use these in my practice with clients in need. Just two drops in a glass of water will do the trick. For extreme cases, you can do this several times per day.

Essences work with all sorts of conditions. River Beauty (epilobium latifolium) helps in emotional recovery and reorientation to life. Dandelion (taraxacum officinale) helps people release emotional tension that is held in the muscle tissue, especially in cases where people are not aware of their patterns.

Does it Really Work?

People say yes. Science says no(or, "unproven"). My feeling: why not believe? If you are seeking healing and an essence has been vibrational calibrated to lead you out of a dark space without any medical contraindications, then why not believe in your own healing potential, and the spirit of the flower? In my personal experience, I believe essences work on more than just a placebo level. Thousands of people today continue to enjoy the gift of flower essences; paired with deep energetic healing, they can create the big shift you're looking for.
