Friday 13th is sacred to the Goddess of Love, and so this Friday I'm offering a few items for purchase from my magickal apothecary.

The Blue Lotus Flower in Ancient Egypt is sacred to the playful innocent creator-god Nefertem, and to Isis and Hathor. Enjoyed in tea form and in magical brew form, the blue lotus flower can be gently sedative, and is an entheogenic plant medicine, connecting you energetically and spiritually to higher consciousness. It is non-hallucinogenic. 

I had a vision a few years back in which an old Egyptian Priest was telling me how to prepare the blue lotus for ceremony. Well! I finally wove a bit of magic with the ceremonial grade lotus I had on hand once my last bottle ran out! This tincture includes common magical love spices and herbs like cinnamon & vanilla, but it also includes two alcohols anchoring the flower spirit, honey (yummy bee medicine) and its primary ingredient, the blue lotus flower.

Bottled on the full moon with prayers of love and healing,this tincture helps repair the golden threads of your light blueprint, and create new bridges of conscious empowerment where trauma and wounding have stopped growth. Short term it is shelf stable but unless you're consuming it within 30 days, I would put it in the fridge. It will grow stronger in time, which is pretty amazing.

I will sometimes take three drops under my tongue before doing sacred dance or priestess incubations. I've also added it to tea during creative work like painting and journaling. It's also a LOVELY addition to your yoga practice, and really shines when paired with movement. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery when working with sacred plants and spiritual earth medicines like blue lotus.
