REIKI is life force energy. It's universal. It's not a religion, and you don't need to believe in Reiki in order for it to be. It's the energy in the world that's available to all of us for healing, growth, and abundance. Practitioners are "attuned" to Reiki, in order to help it flow better, much like we 'tune in' to a radio station in order to get into a certain vibe. Even if you aren't able to feel the subtle energies, Reiki will still work to heal and harmonize your energy with your own life force.
As an energy healer, I really love working with Reiki because it's very safe. People generally respond to Reiki well, and feel more relaxed and centered after receiving it. In distance sessions, the work is more subtle, but I've seen shifts in how people are navigating life. And that's cool!
