Life is fleeting. In the end we only have maybe 100 years on a planet that’s over 4 billion years old. There’s no time to hide from what you want. Creating and doing on planet earth happens much more slowly than it does in your thoughts and mind. So get right to your core.
Yes, sometimes you might be afraid and that’s okay, but meet that fear head on.
What’s the worst that can happen? Tell me.
Are you going to die? You’ll die anyway.
Are you going to disappoint the people you love if you’re honest about your desires? Guess what: disappointment is pretty inevitable, and it happens to the very best of us.
Are you going to end up alone, ousted from your tribe? Dear love, you don’t ever have to be alone. There are 7.6 billion people on the planet. I’m sure of that number there are at least 3 or 4 who would love to LOVE you and be kind to you, and laugh with you in eternal friendship or partnership.
So be open. In short— there’s no reason at all for you to hide your beautiful heart and personality. There’s no reason to hide from who you are or what you desire.
As the Buddha says, our Desires ARE Enlightenment. Follow your desire into the heart of your real truths, and birth a life that you love unrepentantly. Don’t hesitate. Commit to yourself. Before you know it, you’ll be closing your eyes beneath a starry night, as your breath dances in moonlight for one last time.
And then the next adventure awaits.
